Where is The Woods Event Center located?

The Woods is located at 10584 N. 600th Street in Robinson, IL. We are nestled in between The Crawford County Forest Preserve and Oak Glen Golf Course

When did The Woods Event Center opens its doors?

Our first wedding was held on June 25th, 2022.

Am I able to have my rehearsal/rehearsal dinner here?

The Woods currently offers 2 wedding package options to give you the day you’ve always envisioned.

With the 2-day Diamond Package, we open the doors at 10:00am CST the Friday before your event to decorate, host rehearsal and enjoy a rehearsal dinner if you’d like. Saturday is the big day! We let you in at 9:00 am to glam-up and last call for bar service is called at 10:30 pm with the last song being played at 10:55pm.

The Gold Package allows for our couples a 1-day rental to create their memorable day!

What time do I have access to the venue on my wedding day?

Diamond Package (2-day rental):

Friday: 10 am to 9 pm Central Standard Time (for décor set up & rehearsal/rehearsal dinner)

Saturday: 9am to midnight (Last call for bar service at 10:30 pm. Last song at 10:55 pm)

Gold Package (1-day rental): 9am to midnight (Last call for bar service at 10:30 pm. Last song at 10:55 pm) Central Standard Time​

What is the maximum capacity for the venue?

The Woods Event Center can seat up to 300 guests comfortably. With the 3-sided open lofts, we have hosted weddings as intimate as 20 and as large as 300!

Does The Woods only host weddings?

We host any event that you want to celebrate! We frequently host bridal and baby showers, corporate training seminars, company, birthday, anniversary, and graduation parties.        

Can I bring my own alcohol?

We’re so glad you asked! The Woods holds a full-service liquor license. All alcohol and bar packages must be purchased through The Woods Event Center - making it easy and convenient for all guests! Personal or BYOB alcohol of any kind is strictly prohibited and could result in the cancellation of your event. The bar package will be a separate fee from your venue rental.

Does this venue require a wedding planner?

Not required but always beneficial! We do not require you to hire a professional coordinator. However, we do suggest saving yourself the stress and consider hiring a day-of coordinator, full wedding planner, or partial planner!

Can we use any vendor we’d like including non-professional vendors?

We always suggest using professional vendors to ensure your day runs flawlessly. However, you are allowed to use any vendor you’d like – the exception being the bar/alcohol service. We provide our couples with a Local Vendor Contact List to help ease the planning process! You are NOT required to use solely these vendors; it is merely a tool to help you plan your dream day.

What are my wedding day insurance requirements?

We do require a Special Event Insurance Policy. Any insurance agent can procure this policy for you. It is an additional layer of protection for our guests.

What type of décor is prohibited?

As much as we love the look, we do not allow confetti, loose glitter of any size, rice, silly string, fake snow, and birdseed. Open flame candles are accepted as long as the container holding the candle is taller than the flame itself. We prefer battery operated candles. To uphold the integrity of our venue; we do not allow nails or command strips of any kind. No fireworks, sparklers, or confetti canons (even if they’re “biodegradable”).

Who cleans up after the event?

We still want you to enjoy your magical day! All that is required of our guests is cleaning up their own personal décor – The Woods Staff will take care of all the “not fun stuff” such as pick up of tables, chairs, sweeping, mopping, trash, etc.

Is there on-site parking?

Absolutely – we have a private parking lot reserved solely for your wedding day! We also provide parking attendants and a golf cart shuttle service to the venue for your guests’ convenience!

Is The Woods Event Center ADA compliant?

Yes! The entire main level of our venue is ADA compliant as well as parking and bathrooms.

What is the damage deposit for this space?

The Woods Event Center requires a $500.00 damage/infraction deposit due 90 days before your event. This damage/infraction deposit is held until the conclusion of your event, if there is no damage done to the venue/property and our policies are followed, we will hand that check back to you!

What is required to book my event at The Woods Event Center?

All that we require to save your date is the completed contract and a non-refundable deposit of $1,000.00. The remaining payment is due 90 days before your event.
